About

WHO says macaroni necklaces aren’t jewelry? As a child, I collected everything from empty pill bottles to egg cartons and from second-hand clip-on costume jewelry to my own handmade macaroni necklaces, believing they all deserved a second shot at life. From the age of about six, I had excessive obsessions with tape, buttons, rocks, and my grandmother’s beads. I believe it was all in preparation for this.

Now, I create jewelry that has been inspired by these childhood obsessions: organic jewelry using semi-precious stones, button necklaces and rings that pay homage to the button collection I’ve carried with me in a small, round, red and white striped tin since I was a child, and whimsical jewelry that is created out of moments that can only be characterized by a strong drive to express my thoughts and inspirations to you. They’re a little more grown up now, with sterling, gold filled, vermeil, and semi-precious elements, but there are still hints of nostalgic whimsy.

I hope you enjoy the collection. Perhaps I’ll get back to childhood basics someday, so keep your eyes and ears open for news of the next great macaroni necklace.
